Former WHITESNAKE Guitarist To Rock For Charity
August 5, 2004Former WHITESNAKE/current M3 guitarist Bernie Marsden and a host of musical friends will entertain 400 people or more in aid of both Cancer Research and The National Kidney Research Fund on September 10 in Tingewick, England. The event now has a special web site, www.partyinthepaddock.co.uk, and anyone interested can book tickets or make donations.
In other WHITESNAKE-related news, WHITESNAKE's classic live album, "Live...in the Heart of the City", has come in at Number 16 in a Top 50 list of live albums voted by readers of Classic Rock magazine. "Live...in the Heart of the City" made the U.K. Top 5 on original release in 1980 and Sounds magazine at the time famously said "Every home should have at least one." Back in December, Classic Rock ran a critics' top 50 list, ignoring both the WHITESNAKE album and DEEP PURPLE's "Made in Japan" (Number 3 in the readers' list).
